The School and Role
A highly regarded and oversubscribed primary school in the Clapham area of Lambeth is seeking a talented Primary Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The school is known for its strong academic outcomes, creative curriculum and excellent behaviour standards. It has a well-established reputation within the local community and benefits from spacious grounds, specialist teaching areas and a strong focus on enrichment, including music, sport and outdoor learning.
Staff work within collaborative year group teams, with shared planning and clear structures in place to support workload. Leadership is experienced, visible and places a strong emphasis on staff development and wellbeing.
The successful teacher will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition into Year 6.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging KS2 lessons across the curriculum
- Supporting progress in reading, writing and maths
- Using assessment effectively to inform teaching
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and presentation
- Contributing to year group planning and wider school life

The Ideal Candidate
The School Is Looking For a Primary Teacher Who
- Holds QTS with recent UK primary experience
- Has experience teaching in KS2
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisation
- Is proactive, reflective and committed to high standards
- Works well within a collaborative team
Both experienced teachers and strong ECTs are encouraged.
