Cover Supervisor – Full time, Term Time only, plus 5 days training

SALARY: SCP9 – SCP 13 (£27,254 - £29,064 Full time equivalent)

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Cover Supervisor. At Oasis Academy MediaCity, we’re looking for someone who can take charge at short notice, engage students, and make sure lessons run smoothly—even when plans change. The Role

No two days are alike—this role is dynamic, varied, and truly rewarding. Plans can change in an instant, and that’s where you shine. In this position, you will:

  • Deliver ready-to-use lessons across a range of year groups and subjects
  • Maintain a positive and orderly classroom, keeping students engaged and focused
  • Adapt confidently to changing situations, responding with calm and professionalism
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure every student enjoys the best possible learning experience

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English and a Level 3 NQF qualification
  • Experience in de-escalation techniques and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students while promoting good progress
  • A calm, authoritative communication style and strong classroom management skills
  • Organisational skills, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges
  • Ideally, experience in a care or pastoral role
  • Above all –to be reliable and able to motivate our students
