Role Description/Criteria
Classroom Teacher Position
Applications are invited from suitable persons for the full time, contract position of Classroom Teacher to commence on Wednesday 27 January 2027. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher who embraces personalised, contemporary learning within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence, lifelong learning, and the values and teachings of the Gospel. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong dedication to Catholic education and a steadfast commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all children.
Special Requirements
- Hold current VIT registration
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or display a willingness to undertake this qualification
- Proof of personal identity and any professional or other qualifications
The successful applicant will:
- Be familiar with and comply with the school's Child Safe Policy and MACS Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
- Possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a team-based approach to learning and teaching
- Have a clear understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices in line with the MACS Vision of Instruction and Vision for Engagement
- Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and actively contribute in a team focused environment with a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning with the ability to use data to drive planning and differentiate learning
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to students with diverse educational, social and emotional needs and abilities
- Be able to collate and analyse data and evidence in order to make adjustments and provide care and support for students of all abilities
- Respect the ethos of the school and its environment
- Demonstrate a passion for innovation (including the use of Technology) and embrace change and new learning with a focus on improvement of self and others and an understanding that we are all lifelong learners.
