Job Summary

As a Clay Loader you will be working flexibly across our Rocks and Treviscoe sites, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely loading of trains and road haulage vehicles to meet operational schedules and customer requirements.

As a Clay Loader, You Will

  • Operate a Front End Loader to accurately load clay onto road and rail transport.
  • Ensure trains are loaded and dispatched efficiently within strict rail timetables.
  • Support road loading operations to meet customer and operational demands.
  • Assist with wider Port and Transport activities as required.
  • Work closely with and follow the instructions of the duty Chargehand.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational performance.
  • Contribute to achieving quality and customer service expectations.

What We're Looking For

We Are Seeking Individuals Who Can Demonstrate

  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • A flexible approach to work and a positive team-focused attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to use initiative.
  • Previous experience operating mobile plant machinery, particularly Front End Loaders.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Imerys Rail Sidings Awareness competency (training can be provided).
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) qualification (training can be provided).
  • Experience working within rail, transport, logistics, quarrying, or industrial operations environments.
