Duties
Paul spent over two years working for Claydon Associates; where he undertook to complete his knowledge of the Construction Industry by taking a role as Assistant / Junior Quantity Surveyor. During his time here he carried out a variety of duties including:
- Site measurement of sub-contractors works
- Production of payment certificates
- Compilation of day work sheets
- Identification and measurement of variations
- Assisting in the production of interim valuations (including production of "Materials on Site" schedules and "Work in Progress" measurements)
- Setting out grids at commencement of contracts with groundworks
- Sending out final accounts letters
- Processing all 715's and 714's

Whilst Paul was undertaking his training by assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyors; he was also utilised to assist the estimating department with tender work when required which resulted in helping him to develop an understanding of the "going rates" for a variety of works and materials.

They are part of the Claydon Construction Group, along with Frank Wood (Wendover) Limited and Claydon Aluminium Limited.
