DEVELOPMENT DETAILS
You’ll be part of a modern residential community of 710 apartments across 22 private and 8 Housing Association blocks. The estate features a 24-hour concierge, tranquil lake, children’s play areas, a residents’ gym and a private car park, creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment with steady footfall throughout the day. With Jubilee line connections nearby, it’s a well-connected setting where you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day experience of residents and visitors.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will deliver consistently high cleaning standards across internal and external communal areas, ensuring the development always looks its best. You’ll work closely with the on-site team, follow agreed schedules, and respond to ad-hoc tasks while maintaining health and safety compliance.
What Success Looks Like
- Communal areas are spotless, well-presented and ready for use at all times.
- You proactively spot issues and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Waste and recycling are managed efficiently, with bin stores kept clean and orderly.
- You communicate clearly and politely with residents, the concierge and contractors.
- Stock levels are maintained, with consumables ordered in good time.
- You follow all health and safety procedures, including safe use of equipment and materials.
How You'll Spend Most Of Your Time
- Cleaning lobbies, corridors, stairwells, lifts, doors and touchpoints to an agreed schedule.
- Sweeping, litter-picking and keeping external paths, entrances and car park areas pristine.
- Managing waste and recycling areas, including moving bins for collection as required.
- Undertaking periodic tasks such as deep cleans, machine scrubbing and glass cleaning.
- Monitoring and replenishing supplies; keeping cleaning stores organised and secure.
- Reporting defects, hazards and incidents, and supporting the concierge with occasional tasks.

Who This Role Is For
- You take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and notice the small details.
- You’re reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently within a team structure.
- You communicate courteously with residents and colleagues, even when busy.
- You’re safety-conscious and follow processes without cutting corners.
- You’re physically fit for a hands-on role with regular movement and some lifting.
Experience That Helps
- Previous cleaning experience in residential blocks, hotels or similar environments.
- Confidence using cleaning machinery such as scrubber dryers and vacuum equipment.
- Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals and basic COSHH awareness.
- Experience working across large estates or multi-block sites.
- Customer-facing experience where professionalism and discretion were essential.
