Cleaner
Location: Shrewsbury Sports Village, Shrewsbury SY1 4RQ
Salary: £8.00 - £12.71 per hour (Dependent on age) plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Part-time 15 hours per week, working hours Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6pm – 10pm and Friday 6pm – 9pm.

As a Cleaner at Shrewsbury Sports Village, you'll help create a safe, welcoming environment where people can stay active, build healthy habits, and connect with their community. Your work has purpose, making a positive impact on communities by ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and ready for customers to enjoy every day.
What you’ll do as a Cleaner
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
- Ensure the safe handling and use of chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.
- Carry out cleaning tasks safely, using appropriate signage and storing equipment securely.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete all required checklists accurately.
- Report defects, maintenance issues, or areas requiring attention to the Duty Manager.
- Monitor stock levels and advise management when replenishment is required.

Does this sound like you?
- Previous cleaning experience, or the ability to demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in the role.
- Good communication and customer care skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a pride in maintaining high standards.
- Awareness of health and safety requirements.
- Able to work independently, use your initiative, and complete records accurately.
