ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will keep shared areas spotless, safe and welcoming, taking pride in the details that residents notice every day. You’ll follow a structured cleaning schedule, respond to ad hoc tasks, and work closely with the on-site team to maintain high standards across internal and external communal spaces.
What Success Looks Like
- Communal areas are consistently immaculate, well-presented and hazard-free.
- Cleaning schedules are completed on time, with accurate records kept daily.
- Resident feedback highlights your helpful attitude and proactive approach.
- Supplies are monitored and replenished before they run low, avoiding disruption.
- Issues such as damage, defects or security concerns are reported promptly and clearly.
- You collaborate smoothly with colleagues and adapt to changing priorities without fuss.

How You'll Spend Most Of Your Time
- Cleaning lobbies, corridors, lifts, stairwells and amenity spaces to a high standard.
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors; dusting, polishing and sanitising touchpoints.
- Managing waste and recycling areas, including bin rotations and keeping stores tidy.
- Maintaining external pathways and entrance areas, including light litter picking.
- Completing daily checklists and reporting maintenance or safety issues.
- Setting up, using and safely storing cleaning equipment and materials.
Who This Role Is For
- You take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and notice the small details.
- You’re reliable, punctual and comfortable working to a structured plan.
- You communicate clearly and courteously with residents and colleagues.
- You’re safety-conscious and follow procedures for equipment and chemicals.
- You’re flexible, happy to support weekend cover on rotation and respond to ad hoc tasks.
Experience That Helps
- Previous experience in residential, hospitality or facilities cleaning.
- Confidence using cleaning machinery and understanding of COSHH principles.
- Familiarity with working to schedules and completing daily records.
- Experience in customer-facing roles where service and communication matter.
- Exposure to working in large, multi-building developments or estates.
