Cleaner (part time)

Grade 1, SCP 3 – £25,614 per annum (£20,768 pro rata)

Help keep our civic spaces clean, safe and welcoming for the people of East Staffordshire.

About The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen working within East Staffordshire Borough Council as a part-time Cleaner at the Town Hall and Millers Lane Depot. In this role you will be expected to provide an efficient and effective cleaning service, ensuring a high standard of cleaning is delivered and maintained. This will include routine office and civic building cleaning, as well as hospitality and event-related cleaning following functions such as weddings, civic events and other bookings.

What we need

You will have experience of cleaning within an organisation, ideally including hospitality, events or function cleaning. You should have an ability to work under own initiative with well-developed time management skills and good organisational skills. You will also have a knowledge of how to use cleaning machinery, and an awareness and commitment to health & safety.

Job Details

  • Type: Part-time, permanent
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 1.00 pm (some flexibility may be required)
  • Overtime: Weekend overtime may sometimes be available on an optional basis, depending on event requirements

  • Subject to a Basic Level Disclosure & Barring Service check
