Cleaner, Sgoil Uibhist a Tuath Nursery (6940)
10 hours per week, year-round, permanent post
£7,859 - £7,932 per annum (inclusive of £810 Distant Islands Allowance)
Role Overview
A Cleaner is sought for 10 hours per week, year round, to carry out general cleaning duties including:
- Maintenance of floors
- Cleaning and dusting of furniture and fittings in designated areas
- Cleaning and disinfecting of toilets and changing rooms
The range of cleaning duties includes:
- Washing
- Sweeping
- Vacuum cleaning
- Emptying bins
- Polishing
- Dusting of designated areas, fixtures, and fittings using where necessary powered equipment
Requirements
You should have:
- An understanding of the cleaning requirements of commercial premises
- Previous experience of working in a similar post
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues in relation to the handling and storage of materials and equipment
Legal Requirement
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
