Eligibility
External candidates to be eligible to apply for this post you must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale (e.g. your household must pay council tax to Rochdale council)
About The Role
Facilities Management are looking to appoint a Cleaner in Charge to work at Castleton Community Centre and Library, Castleton.
This role is 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.15am-9.00am (Thurs 7.45am-9am) & 5.15pm-9.30pm & Saturday 8.30am-2.00pm. Holidays to be taken throughout the year subject to approval.
Please note hours maybe subject to change dependent on the needs of the service. Overtime may be required time to time and the appropriate rate will be paid.
About You
We are looking for someone who is a hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality service at this busy community centre and library.

The Successful Candidate Will
- Responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness of designated areas in the building and duties will include toilets and associated facilities against an agreed cleaning specification and good attention to detail.
- Able to complete practical handyman tasks.
- Ability to work to tight timescales is essential and a flexible approach
- Be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the community centre
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work
- Ability to recognise the importance of ensuring a secure and safe environment of the site to include record keeping and the completion of compliance tasks.

Additional Information
Candidates who are unsuccessful after interview may be considered for casual caretaker/cleaner positions within Facilities Management. The hourly rate for a Casual Cleaner is £13.45 per hour.
