MOBILE CLEANER – JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
The Mobile Cleaner is responsible for providing a high standard of cleaning services across multiple customer sites. The role involves travelling between locations and ensuring that all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to the required company standards.
WORKING PATTERN
- The role operates Monday to Sunday, depending on the business and site requirements.
- The Mobile Cleaner may be required to work split shifts where scheduled.
- Working hours and site visits will vary depending on the daily schedule and customer requirements.
- Scheduled days off will be provided as part of the employee's working rota.
- The employee is expected to check their rota regularly and ensure they are available for their scheduled shifts and site visits.
- Any changes to availability or circumstances affecting attendance should be communicated to management as soon as possible.
- Due to the mobile nature of the role, travel between different customer locations may be required during the working day.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel between different customer sites according to the agreed schedule.
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard and within the allocated time.
- Clean communal areas, offices, toilets, kitchens, corridors, stairs and other designated areas as required.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
- Dust and wipe surfaces, furniture and fixtures.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms and other facilities.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when required.
- Use cleaning chemicals, equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
- Report any damage, defects, maintenance issues or health and safety concerns found at customer sites.
- Follow COSHH, health and safety and company procedures at all times.
- Complete site attendance records, cleaning checklists and any required paperwork.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or shortages.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all scheduled visits are completed.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach when dealing with customers, colleagues and members of the public.
- Work independently when required while maintaining regular communication with management.

TRAVEL AND MOBILE WORKING
The Mobile Cleaner will be required to travel between multiple locations during the working day. The employee must ensure they have the required cleaning equipment and supplies before attending each site.
Travel time should be planned carefully to ensure visits are attended within the scheduled times. Any delays, access problems or issues affecting the schedule should be reported to management as soon as possible.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE when required.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with instructions.
- Report hazards immediately.
- Follow safe manual-handling procedures.
- Never carry out a task that is unsafe or outside the employee's training or authorisation.
- Ensure equipment is safely stored and transported between sites.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mobile Cleaner is expected to:
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Maintain good standards of personal presentation.
- Work professionally and respectfully at all times.
- Protect customer property and maintain confidentiality.
- Take responsibility for completing assigned duties to the required standard.
- Communicate promptly with management regarding any problems or changes.
- Follow the agreed schedule and notify management of any circumstances that may prevent a scheduled visit from being completed.

The employee should consistently demonstrate:
- Good cleaning standards.
- Good time management.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Safe working practices.
- Professional communication.
- Care and respect for customer premises.
- Effective use and care of company equipment.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The role may involve working across different environments and may require periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying cleaning equipment and travelling between sites. Any individual workplace adjustments or reasonable adjustments agreed with management should be followed and reviewed where necessary.
REPORTING
The Mobile Cleaner will report to the relevant supervisor or manager and should maintain regular communication regarding site visits, completed work, access issues, equipment requirements, incidents or any other concerns.

Salary: £13.45 per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Base: Penzance / Camborne / Hayle
