Housekeeper
Location: Yarlswood IRC, Clapham, MK44 1FD
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) Shift Times: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: £25,769 (pro rata)
About the Role
Serco is seeking a Housekeeper to ensure a clean, safe, and polished operational environment. In this role, you will execute cleaning duties independently or within a team, maintaining high hygiene standards across designated areas—including bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, medical rooms, kitchens, corridors, storerooms, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping hard surfaces and carpets in staff & client areas.
- Cleaning and disinfecting showers, toilets, desks, tables, walls, doors, and skirting boards.
- Removing and treating stains, including upholstery and furniture.
- Emptying and sanitising waste bins, ensuring all refuse is managed securely.
- Using provided chemical cleaning products safely, post-training.
- Managing and updating all relevant paperwork and compliance records.
- Adhering to health, safety, and environmental procedures, including signage requirements.

Requirements
- Proven teamwork skills – Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent organisational skills – Ensuring thorough cleanliness across multiple high-use areas.
- Strong spoken and written English – For clear communication and record-keeping.
