Job Description

Cleaner - Northgate High School

Monday to Friday 3.15 till 5.15

£12.71 per hour

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis, working 10** hours per week, Monday to Friday 3.15 till 5.15.**

If you take pride in your work, enjoy creating clean and welcoming environments, and like working independently, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You’ll play an important part in keeping the site clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who uses it, while building positive relationships with our clients and site teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day will be about making sure the site looks its best. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning floors and rooms, including dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
  • Cleaning restrooms and keeping sanitary stations clean, tidy and fully stocked.
  • Emptying bins and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site.
  • Building friendly and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Following health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
  • Identifying and reporting any defects, damage or maintenance issues.
  • Taking pride in your work and helping to create a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment.

You don’t need to have years of experience — the right attitude and a commitment to doing a great job are just as important.

Previous cleaning, caretaking or similar experience would be an advantage, and we’re looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, responsible and takes pride in their work.
  • Friendly and approachable, with good communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative.
  • Organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Aware of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Professional and confident when interacting with clients and colleagues.
