Purpose of the Role

To clean the toilets and litter pick the 16-acre site and assist as required in cleaning the management suite, offices, toilets, kitchen, and to assist with moving 240L (household) wheelie bins to 1100L bins around the service yard as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work on your own in the cleaning tasks as inducted and trained upon.
  • Understanding the H&S requirements to ensure you and others entering your work area are safe at all times.
  • Timekeeping: the hours are fixed, but it is essential that any operative can assist with further duties and hours through the week and including weekends as required so flexibility is needed.
  • To undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed by the Site and within the Assignment Instructions.
  • To report maintenance issues immediately, e.g., broken equipment, defective lighting, any H&S issues.
  • To inform the Site Manager of any ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
  • To maintain the primary duty of cleaning the customer toilets, litter picking the site, and bins on the customer side but assist with all other tasks noted herein.
  • To have an understanding and comply with all COSHH regulations.
  • To work within the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.
  • This is not intended to be a complete and full list of responsibilities; other tasks may be required from time to time.
  • To collect all waste and take it to the designated waste storage area.
  • To use all machinery as trained.
  • To assist in any other cleaning task that may be required and work with the other cleaning team and understand that the role, whilst waste and externals, may be at times internal tasks as directed.
