The Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking cleaner who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for young children.

Working 2 hours each evening (Monday to Friday), you will help ensure our nursery is cleaned to a high standard ready for the next day, supporting the health, wellbeing and safety of the children and team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning nursery rooms, play areas and shared spaces.
  • Emptying bins and maintaining tidy learning environments.
  • Wiping and disinfecting surfaces, tables, toys, touchpoints and kitchen areas.
  • Cleaning toilets, nappy changing areas and replenishing supplies.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Ensuring cleaning products are stored safely and securely.
  • Reporting low stock, maintenance issues or any concerns to management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone reliable with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and follow cleaning procedures carefully.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred, ideally in a nursery, school or similar environment.
  • A friendly, trustworthy and positive attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety.
  • Willingness to follow safeguarding and security procedures.

Hours & Pay

  • 10 hours per week
  • 2 hours per evening (Mon–Fri)
  • Rate: £12.71 per hour
