SCHOOL CLEANER – Single Status Grade 3. Annual (pro-rata) Salary approx. £6,701.

Part-time position – 10 hours a week.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 2 hours per day between 3.30pm and 7pm to be agreed.

Sacred Heart would like to recruit a hardworking and dedicated cleaner to work in our friendly school to start as soon as possible. They will work with another cleaner and be responsible for locking up.

They will also occasionally be required in the absence of the caretaker to provide out of hours and holiday access to the school.

We would like you to be able to:

  • Work under own initiative without supervision
  • Work on your own or as part of a team
  • Ensure the school is cleaned to a high standard.
  • Previous experience of this kind of role would be an advantage

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily clean of all areas of the school including classrooms, offices, staff rooms, library, corridors, toilets, and intervention spaces.
  • Manage stocks of cleaning supplies and advise the caretaker when new supplies are required.
  • Some lifting, bending, and stretching to move furniture, cleaning equipment, and other articles in order to clean effectively will be required.
  • Deep cleans during the school holidays.
  • Locking up and providing out of hours access to the school when required.
