Cleaning Team Member (Housekeeper) Location: Bisham Abbey, Marlow Road, Bisham SL7 1RR Salary: £12.71 per hour + excellent benefits Schedule: Full or part time (shifts across Monday–Sunday, 8am–5.30pm)
About the Role
Ready to impact a better future? As a Cleaner in our Bisham Abbey team, you’ll ensure all areas—accommodation, sports halls, conference spaces, toilets, and showers—are spotless for guests.
You’ll work efficiently, liaise with the Head Housekeeper and follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols. While this role focuses on cleaning, you may also assist front-of-house duties as needed.
This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining exceptional standards while contributing to a welcoming, safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Duties:
- Clean and maintain accommodation, sports, conference, and public areas to a high standard
- Perform vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and trash removal daily
- Tidily sanitise shower rooms, toilets, and changing areas safely
- Prepare rooms for new and returning guests
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet shampooing, descaling) when required

Collaboration & Safety:
- Work efficiently to minimise disruption to guests
- Report ready rooms to the Head Housekeeper
- Safely handle and store cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Assist the team with additional cleaning duties as assigned
Requirements & Preferences
- Experience: A background in cleaning public buildings or multi-site facilities is preferred
- Soft Skills:
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
- Customer-focused, reliable, and flexible
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
