Umbrella - £16 per hour - Umbrella
Job Purpose
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout Eaton Primary School. You will ensure that classrooms, communal areas, washrooms, and other school facilities are cleaned to a professional standard, providing a safe and pleasant environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors.
- Empty bins and remove waste.
- Clean and sanitise touch points and surfaces.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or health and safety hazards.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene within the school environment.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete allocated cleaning schedules.

Essential Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience working in schools, offices, public buildings, healthcare, or commercial environments is desirable.
- Understanding of cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning products.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with good attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (required).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Ability to work the required shift pattern.
Additional Information to Note
- Location: Eaton Primary School, Norwich, NR4 6HS.
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 14:30 – 18:30
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Supplier submission deadline: 19th September 2026.
