Location: Whitby, YO21 1QZ Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: 6 hours per week Contract: Temporary Cover

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy Cleaner to provide temporary cleaning cover at a government office site in Whitby. This is a part-time morning position working Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable environment.

Duties

  • General cleaning of offices and communal areas
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste
  • Wiping and sanitising surfaces
  • Replenishing consumables where required
  • Following all site health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the site

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred
  • Must have valid Right to Work documentation available for the induction
  • Comfortable with lone working
  • Comfortable acting as a key holder and using an alarm panel where required
  • Reliable and able to work the full shift pattern
  • Good attention to detail
  • Must use the site's telephone-based time and attendance clocking system

  • Wednesday: 7:30am – 9:30am
  • Thursday: 7:30am – 8:30am

Pay: £12.71 per hour
