Position: Cleaner

Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £26,000 (pro-rata)
Employment Type: Part time - 4 hours a day, 5 days a week (20 hours per week)
Working hours: 6am-10am

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of Labman’s facilities. In this important role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of our workplace environment, ensuring that all areas remain safe, hygienic, and welcoming for staff and visitors.

You will take pride in maintaining high standards across our buildings, supporting Labman’s commitment to excellence and providing a clean, comfortable setting that reflects our values and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our cleaning team, you will:

  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout all areas of Labman’s HQ, including offices, communal spaces, toilets, and kitchens.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed.
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment, following company procedures at all times.
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Support the wider facilities team when required, contributing to a welcoming and safe environment for staff and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities as required for audits and compliance.
  • Uphold confidentiality at all times to protect sensitive information, reflecting Labman’s commitment to professionalism and trustworthiness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in cleaning or facilities roles, ideally within office or commercial settings.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures and company cleaning guidelines effectively.
  • Good time management skills to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting issues and working with colleagues across the business.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and support the wider facilities team when required.
  • Trustworthy and responsible when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
