Greenfields Close is a spacious 28-bed residential care home in Newark, Nottingham, providing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, physical disabilities, and complex care needs. We provide a high level of support to enable all the people we support to meet their personal goals and future aspirations!
Some of the individuals we support are very sociable and love spending time with friends at home and out in the community. Whether that's venturing out to the cinema or for a catch up over coffee!
We understand what’s important and always try our best to help the individuals live their best lives! No two days are the same, one day we’re partaking in a family event or party and the next we’re out window shopping and sightseeing! There is huge variety in the role and lots to learn.

About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for all. This is a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of everyone in our care home.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize communal areas, individuals rooms, bathrooms, and staff facilities.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and carpets regularly.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely, following infection control procedures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment faults.
- Follow COSHH regulations when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain high hygiene standards to prevent infection spread.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a care setting) is desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control and health & safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a respectful attitude towards residents.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
