1 Month Contract with a Local Authority
Umbrella - £16.00 per hour- Umbrella
Job Purpose
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a busy primary school and nursery environment. You will ensure classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas are clean, safe, and ready for staff and pupils each day.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Clean classrooms, teaching areas, and learning environments.
- Clean offices and administrative areas.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust designated areas.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the school.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
- Report maintenance or cleaning issues to supervisors.
- Support a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Essential Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience working within schools, education settings, offices, or commercial environments is desirable.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications Required
- Enhanced DBS (required).
- Right to Work in the UK.
Additional Information to Note
- Working hours: 10 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Shift Pattern: 06:00 – 08:00.
- Location: Hillside Nursery & Primary School, Roberts Lane, Hucknall, NG15 6LW.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Early morning cleaning role.
- Closing Date: 9th October 2026.
- We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
