Role Description
This full-time Cleaner role is an on-site position based in Plymouth. The Cleaner will carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in commercial, educational, and medical settings as required. Daily duties may include cleaning restrooms, kitchens, offices, classrooms, and communal spaces, emptying bins, replenishing consumables, and ensuring all areas meet agreed hygiene standards. The role involves following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures, using appropriate equipment and chemicals safely, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. The Cleaner will work as part of a team and may occasionally support deep cleans or specialist cleaning tasks according to client needs.

- Experience or strong interest in professional cleaning, including routine and deep cleaning tasks in commercial or institutional environments.
- Knowledge of hygiene and health and safety practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and client-specific instructions accurately.
- Strong reliability, time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with supervisors, colleagues, and clients in a respectful, professional manner.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting light to moderate loads, and moving equipment.
- Prior experience in commercial, medical, or school cleaning is beneficial but not essential; on-the-job training may be provided.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on client requirements.
