Times of Work: Flexible in accordance with needs of the job

Start date: Immediate

Area: London

Purpose:

  • Oversee, manage and operate a portfolio of the company’s contracts across London and the South East
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients through regular meetings and inspections
  • Manage cleaning personnel

Looking for an experienced CLEANING area manager with 5 years or more experience

  • Have an understanding of how to manage cleaners and the expectations of the client.
  • You will be expected to assist with the cleaning and training with staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to all e-mails and calls from clients
  • Arrange regular meetings with clients
  • Review cleaning standards through regular inspections
  • Arrange one-off cleans and deep cleans with clients and check if they were satisfied afterwards
  • Proactively visit sites during the cleaning shift spot checking for cleaning standards, staff attendance, uniform, etc.
  • Ensure cleaning personnel are completing their duties and that Health and Safety is being followed on site
  • Liaise with Managers and Supervisors on a daily basis and build strong relationships with colleagues, supervisors and cleaning team members
  • Be involved in the selection, and training of new cleaning team members
  • Monitor equipment, uniform and stock levels

Candidate

  • Previous cleaning management experience is required 5 years or more
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Able to effectively manage cleaning and supervisory staff
  • IT literate
  • Ability to prioritise
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Driving Licence
