Job Description

Area Cleaning Supervisor

£14.29 Per hour

Norse Cleaning Division is currently recruiting for an Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role

As the Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing supervisory support to manage the buildings allocated, external cleaning contracts and output specifications so that the quality and performance meet the operational targets set by the Area Manager. Establishing and maintaining first class individual working relationships with customers and staff. Day to day duties will include:

  • Arranging the provision of cleaners to comply with relevant SLA/contract specification and support to external events as required.
  • Ensuring all site-based staff understand and achieve objectives set by our customer in partnership with building management and are fully aware of the quality, performance and administrative requirements.
  • Providing cover during periods of absence.
  • Adhering to Black Box protocol and SHEQ Norse/site requirements at all times.
  • Carrying out the initial induction of newly appointed Cleaners and arranging onsite training with the Buildings Managers.
  • Providing in-house training, including toolbox talks etc., to the cleaning staff as appropriate.
  • Ensuring compliance of self and all relevant Cleaning Services staff within Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Assisting with the compliance of quality targets set by the Senior Management.
  • Creating and maintaining written visit reports and completing any associated administration.
  • Checking and authorising stock indents, stock returns, overtime claims and timesheets as directed by the Area Manager.

Our Successful Candidate

You will need to be able to demonstrate some commercial experience within a commercial cleaning environment, alongside some experience of supervising or leading staff, although this does not need to be within the industry.

Alongside this, you will:

  • Previous experience within a busy cleaning team / environment
  • Previous experience within a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
