Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Contract Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of cleaning services across a national portfolio of customer sites.

This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation - spending time on site, building relationships with customers and teams, maintaining high standards and making sure our services are delivered consistently and effectively.

Working closely with our Head of Cleaning Operations, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operational, people and financial management of the contract, ensuring we deliver against our customer commitments while continuing to improve the service we provide.

If you are an experienced cleaning professional who takes pride in delivering great service, enjoys developing teams and is comfortable managing a busy multi-site operation, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

As Cleaning Contract Manager, you will take operational ownership of cleaning services across a national portfolio, providing a visible and responsive management presence for both our customers and our employees.

You will regularly visit customer sites to review standards, meet with key stakeholders, support site teams and ensure contractual requirements and agreed service levels are being achieved.

People management will be a key part of the role. You will work closely with site supervisors and cleaning teams to ensure sites are appropriately staffed, employees are supported and developed, and any performance, attendance or employee relations matters are dealt with promptly and professionally.

You will also be responsible for managing labour, materials, equipment and other expenditure within agreed budgets, alongside identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking full operational ownership of cleaning services across the assigned national portfolio.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders through regular communication and site visits.
  • Ensuring cleaning services consistently meet contractual specifications, agreed service levels and customer expectations.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and cleaning audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring actions are followed through to completion.
  • Leading and supporting site supervisors and cleaning teams to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Managing workforce requirements across the portfolio, including recruitment, induction, training, attendance, holidays and absence.
  • Managing employee performance and supporting formal people processes including investigations, attendance management and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensuring contractual hours are effectively managed and appropriate cover arrangements are in place.
  • Responding quickly to customer concerns and operational issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
  • Attending customer meetings and KPI reviews, providing accurate performance information and clear action plans.
  • Monitoring labour, consumables, equipment and other expenditure against agreed budgets.
  • Producing quotations for additional and specialist works and ensuring appropriate authorisation is obtained.
  • Ensuring sites have the equipment, chemicals, materials and consumables required to deliver the service safely and effectively.
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and contractual compliance across all sites.
  • Using operational data, audits and performance trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives across the contract.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Anchor Group Services to deliver a consistent and professional service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
