Job Title

At Places for People, we hire People, not numbers! So, if you like the sound of one of our jobs, please apply - you could be just who we're looking for! Of course, experience and track record are important, but we're more interested in hiring someone that embodies our People Promises. That's someone that does the right thing, is enthusiastic and motivated to grow, believes in Community spirit, is respectful and enjoys their work. As the UK's leading Social Enterprise we're dedicated to creating inclusive and thriving Communities for both our Customers and Employees.

As part of Places for People Group, PfP Students are experts in providing facilities management solutions for university campus buildings and student accommodation. Our service is focused on our partnership approach with our clients and the student experience.

More About Your Role

As Cleaning Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across multiple buildings at the Royal College of Art, ensuring safe, hygienic, and well-presented environments for students, staff, and visitors. You will oversee operations across varied shift patterns, monitor performance through regular on-site presence, and continuously improve cleaning schedules, workflows, and resource allocation.

You will lead, motivate, and develop supervisors and frontline teams, driving engagement and a high-performance culture while managing recruitment, onboarding, performance, and wellbeing. Alongside this, you will champion sustainability by promoting eco-friendly products, reducing environmental impact, and improving waste management practices. You will also ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, actively managing risk and promoting a strong safety culture across teams.

This role is split across sites at Battersea, Kensington and White City with working hours of Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience managing cleaning operations across multiple sites, buildings, or large teams
  • A track record of liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing health & safety compliance and managing incidents within an operational environment

More About You

You will be an experienced operational leader with the ability to manage large, fast-paced cleaning services while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines. You are confident making decisions independently and use data, insight, and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
