Job Title: Cleaning Manager
We're looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager to join our Facilities Team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on leader to play a key role in delivering high-quality cleaning services across our hospital, helping to ensure a safe, welcoming and hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a large team of cleaning professionals, driving performance, maintaining exceptional standards, and identifying opportunities to improve the services we provide.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Trust, helping to ensure our facilities support outstanding patient care while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide management cover for annual leave, evenings and nights when required, as well as participating in one planned weekend per month.
Key Tasks:
- Deliver managerial professional control of cleaning and general facilities services and contracts to a high standard within the hospital.
- Provide management and control of all cleaning services and general facilities operating procedures and applications to ensure that all statutory and quality standards are maintained.
- Deliver quality cleaning services to patients and staff monitoring the provision of these services against agreed standards ensuring remedial action is taken to rectify shortcomings in service delivery.
- Manage front-line cleaning teams, cleaning wards, clinical areas, departments, and outer areas.
- Provide for economical and correct use and distribution of equipment and materials ensuring stock control procedures are maintained.
- Deliver an efficient and speedy distribution service for issues of stock and non-stock items.
- Conduct HR investigations, writing case reports and presenting to senior managers.
- Ensuring your 100+ strong team are achieving key performance indicators in areas such as cleanliness, food hygiene and mandatory training.
- Manage a team of cleaning supervisors to ensure standards are maintained throughout the building.
