Job Title
Cleaning Operative (Part-time) (Based at Dubreck House, Kilsyth)
Position Overview
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting for a cleaning operative within our Facility Management (FM) segment, offering a part-time role (20 hours per week) with the following terms:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Pay: £13.09 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a critical role in maintaining clean, safe, and professional workspaces across our premises. Your duties will include:
- Ensuring the complete cleaning of offices/premises in line with agreed specifications:
- Dusting, vacuuming, polishing floors, windows, and internal woodwork
- Thorough toilet, changing room, and sanitary area cleaning
- Emptying and appropriately disposing of waste (general and specialist refuse)
- Visit, inspect, and restock/stock members as necessary
- Refill and replace consumable supplies (e.g. cleaning products)
- Health, safety, and equipment compliance:
- Reporting faulty equipment or maintenance needs to the designated team
- Locking rooms after cleaning and ensuring security procedures are followed
- Switching off lights and non-essential electrical equipment
- Health, safety, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) adherence for all tasks
- Inclusivity and environmental responsibilities:
- Promoting a safe workplace culture for staff and visitors
- Ensuring adherence to all BAM policies
