Cleaner (MTC Ansty)
Location: MTC Ansty Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 15:00–19:00 (with flexibility to work 18:00–22:00 for events) – 20 hours per week Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Role Overview and Purpose
We’re seeking a reliable, hardworking Cleaner to join our team. This role is fundamental to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The successful applicant will work weekday evenings, with the flexibility to cover additional event-related hours on a rotational basis.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct general cleaning of office space and communal areas, including:
- Desks, floors, kitchens, and washrooms
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
- Waste collection and disposal in line with site procedures

Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels)

Ensure safe use and proper storage of cleaning equipment

Adhere to COSHH regulations and site-specific health & safety procedures

Promptly report any maintenance issues or hazards

Support additional cleaning duties during event evenings
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment (preferably commercial)
- Strong knowledge of cleaning products, methods, and best practices
- Familiarity with COSHH and workplace Health & Safety policies
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively
- Attention to detail for consistent, thorough cleaning
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to responding to changing priorities
- Self-doubt tolerance to adapt to varying workloads (e.g., during events)
Additional Requirements
Due to limited evening transport options, applicants must have reliable transport for arrival/departure. No parking details required.
Desirable (but not mandatory)
- Experience in cleaning high-traffic or event-heavy settings
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment
