Location: Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 1ES
Hours: 9 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday: 4:15pm – 5:45pm
- Saturday: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
- Sunday: No work
Pay Rate: £14.26 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Cleaning Operative to work within a secure banking environment in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking part-time work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- General office and banking environment cleaning
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Cleaning washrooms and staff welfare facilities
- Emptying waste and recycling bins
- Sanitising high-touch surfaces
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Adhering to all health & safety and site security procedures
- Opening, securing, and locking premises where required
- Working independently in a secure environment

Candidate Requirements
- Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work confidently as a lone worker
- Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating alarm systems
- Excellent attention to detail and reliability
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Ability to use a telephone-based time and attendance system
- Good communication skills
Barclays Pre-Employment Compliance Requirements
Due to the nature of this role within a banking environment, successful applicants will be required to complete the following checks prior to commencing employment:
- Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
- Right to Work verification
- Adverse financial screening checks
- GOV.UK employment history verification
- Five-year employment history review, including explanation of any gaps in employment
- Identity and address verification checks
- Completion of all client-specific security and compliance documentation
- Successful completion of site induction and security procedures
