Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 9 hours per week
Contract Type: Holiday Cover
Assignment Dates: 11th August 2026 – 22nd August 2026
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to provide holiday cover at a commercial site in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time evening work over a two-week period.
Working Hours
- Monday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Tuesday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Wednesday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Thursday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Friday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Saturday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm (1.5 hours)
- Sunday: No work

Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of commercial premises
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Cleaning offices, kitchens, washrooms and communal areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste
- Replenishing consumables
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Locking and securing the premises where required

Candidate Requirements
- Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently and as a lone worker
- Able to work as a key holder and operate an alarm system where required
- Right to work in the UK (documentation must be presented at induction)
- Willing to use a telephone-based time and attendance system
This is a great opportunity to earn £15.00 per hour on a short-term holiday cover assignment with a professional facilities management team.
