Job Title: Cleaning Operative
Location: Watling Police Station, Watling House, Watling Street, Stafford, Staffordshire, ST19 5PR
Contract Type: Fixed Term (6 months)
Working Hours: 14 Hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Wednesday 6:00am to 9:30am
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment while ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with or without previous cleaning experience.
Please Note: Proof of Right to Work in the UK is required. Employment is subject to a Local Enhanced Vetting Process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard in designated areas
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, maintained, and safe to use
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Complete all mandatory training required for the role
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and exceed customer expectations
Requirements
- Ability to communicate and read basic English
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Professional and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Honest, self-motivated, and determined
- Flexible approach to work and changing priorities
- Commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential as full training is provided)
