Hygiene Operative - Days

Sittingbourne UK

Your Mission

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the factory and offices in a clean hygienic condition.

What You Will Do

  • Clean offices, office kitchen, and all refrigerators.
  • Maintain cleanliness of communal areas (canteen, etc.).
  • Keep walls, floors, and ceilings clean in communal areas.
  • Make up cleaning solutions from undiluted products.
  • Efficiently use and maintain all cleaning equipment.
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Daily site laundry of protective clothing.
  • Keep precise records of all clothing for each staff member, logging the condition of clothing.
  • Ensure engineers are aware of any maintenance required in the laundry room and that machines are maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage stock of consumables.
  • Take on additional training as necessary and cover for sickness/holiday absences.

What We Expect From You

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Ability to carry out accurate and timely cleaning records.
  • Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Self-motivated and a good work ethic.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.

What You Can Expect From Puratos

  • £12.98 per hour.
  • 5% bonus scheme.
  • Core hours will be 40 hours per week. The team shares shifts to ensure the office is staffed between 06:00 – 17:00.
