The Vacancy

MSS Facilities Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Cleaning Operative based at Cardiff Rugby Club. This role is 32 hours a week over 5/6 days for 44 weeks of the year

The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.

The Role:

To provide consistent, high quality cleaning services across operational and staff facilities throughout the working week, ensuring all assigned environments are maintained to an excellent standard. The role will primarily support the daily cleaning programme within player, staff and support facilities while remaining flexible to work an additional sixth day during match weeks to complete post match cleaning duties within the contracted weekly hours.

Accountabilities:

  • Review daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
  • Work independently and manage allocated duties to ensure all designated facilities are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Complete routine maintenance cleaning across changing, welfare, medical, office and support environments four days each week as scheduled.
  • Clean washrooms, replenish consumables and maintain hygiene standards throughout assigned facilities.
  • Vacuum, litter pick, sweep and damp mop floors and circulation areas.
  • Empty waste bins and remove rubbish in accordance with site procedures.
  • Clean touchpoints, surfaces, glass and other frequently used areas to maintain presentation standards.
  • Carry out periodic deep or thorough cleaning of targeted areas when required.
  • On designated staff non-operational days, complete cleaning duties within office, administration and support facilities as scheduled.
  • Assist with additional washroom and communal area cleaning towards the end of the working week when required.
  • During match weeks, work flexibly across up to six days to complete post-match or following morning cleaning duties, with workloads adjusted elsewhere during the week to remain within contracted hours.
  • Post-match duties may include cleaning changing facilities, official facilities and associated washrooms following sporting events.
  • Work closely with the wider facilities and cleaning teams to provide a first class service to the client.
  • Use company cleaning equipment and approved cleaning methods safely and responsibly.
  • Perform any other related cleaning duties reasonably requested by management.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • Previous cleaning experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Manual handling capability.
  • Reliable and flexible approach to working patterns.
  • Ability to work weekends or an additional day during match weeks when required.

Desirable

  • Full driving licence.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • Experience cleaning changing, medical or office environments.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary £13.45 per hour
