Job Type: Temporary Holiday Cover Assignment
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 14.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Working Pattern
- Monday: 7:30pm – 10:00pm (2.5 hours)
- Tuesday: 7:30pm – 10:00pm (2.5 hours)
- Wednesday: 7:30pm – 9:00pm (1.5 hours)
- Thursday: 7:30pm – 10:00pm (2.5 hours)
- Friday: 7:30pm – 10:00pm (2.5 hours)
- Saturday: 4:00pm – 6:30pm (2.5 hours)

Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cleaning Operative to provide holiday cover within a secure banking environment in Crawley, West Sussex. This is a short-term temporary assignment offering regular evening and weekend hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation while working independently and adhering to all site security procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the banking premises
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floor areas
- Cleaning desks, workstations and high-touch surfaces
- Cleaning kitchens, welfare facilities and communal areas
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
- Emptying waste bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored correctly
Candidate Requirements
- Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable working alone within a secure environment
- Must be willing to act as a key holder and operate alarm systems where required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Good communication skills
- Right to work in the UK

Mandatory Requirements
Successful candidates must:
- Provide valid Right to Work documentation at induction
- Be comfortable using a telephone-based time and attendance system
- Be able to work as a lone worker
- Be willing to act as a key holder
- Be comfortable operating alarm systems
- Provide valid photographic identification prior to commencing work
