Join Our Team as a Cleaning Operative in Brighton!
Mobile Testing Solutions Ltd (“MTS”) is a global exam service provider for a variety of exam boards which also has an online exam preparation school.
We're on the lookout for one experienced Cleaning Operative to join our Brighton team on a part-time, casual zero-hours basis. If you're someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe spaces and has a keen eye for high-quality cleaning standards, this role might be your perfect fit.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure proper dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping in assigned work areas such as offices, desks, equipment, kitchen area, pantry and toilets
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)
- Maintain cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary
- Dispose of any waste and empty bins regularly
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging toilets and sinks
- Conduct disinfection and deep cleaning as per timely schedule
- Maintain and comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) standards
- Fully comply with MTS’s GDPR and data protection policies, safeguarding policies, and any other required agreements.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, friendly, and approachable manner when interacting with test takers, staff, and visitors.

What You Bring:
- Experience in cleaning duties
- Good organisation and housekeeping skills
- Good knowledge of cleaning solution and their uses
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards
- Good physical fitness for doing this job
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to adapt to varying working hours
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay: £14.60 per hour, including holiday pay
- Flexible Hours: (Part-time schedule, mainly Fridays and Saturdays with approximately 2 hours of cleaning after 18:00. One full week of deep cleaning is required every three months. Flexibility is required to cover other days and adjust start/finish times when needed.)
- Pension Plan: Enrolment in the NEST pension scheme
- Immediate Start: We're eager to have you on board immediately!
- Location: This is a site-based role at our Brighton venue
Recruitment Process:
- Reference Checks: The selection process includes two employment reference checks conducted by our hiring team (not applicable for existing employees).
- Enhanced DBS Check: A successful enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, facilitated by MTS prior to recruitment, is mandatory (not applicable for existing employees if already conducted by MTS).
