Location: Ørsted Barrow West Coast Hub 01, Ramsey Way, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 2GR
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Ørsted Barrow West Coast Hub. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead and support a team of cleaners while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety are maintained across the site.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning schedules, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership skills who can motivate a team and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Inspect and evaluate cleaning standards to ensure high levels of cleanliness are consistently maintained.
- Train, develop, and support cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and on time.
- Order, monitor, and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Respond to and resolve any cleaning-related issues or customer complaints professionally and promptly.
- Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of cleaning operations and staff performance.
- Assist with cleaning duties as required, as this is a hands-on supervisory role.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar supervisory cleaning role.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and correct storage and disposal procedures.
- Experience creating and implementing cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts or issues within the team effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relating to cleaning services.
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Own transport is essential due to the location of the site.

Essential Checks
- Enhanced Child DBS required.
- BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance required.
- Right to work in the UK.
