We're looking for a Cleaning Supervisor who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and managing a cleaning team across multiple client sites.

Permanent
Hours:
- Mondays and Fridays: 15:45-18:45
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 16:15-19:15
Pay:
£13.22 per hour

Granite House, Leicester LE7 1PL
Role Responsibilities
- Manage a cleaning team, including recruitment, training, and development
- Deliver routine planned and periodic cleaning to a high standard
- Ensure staff follow task schedules and Health & Safety procedures
- Monitor cleanliness standards, distribute uniforms, and manage stock levels
- Handle issues professionally and escalate to line manager when needed
- Offer a first-class service to their dedicated functional area, dedicating attendance on the floor, monitoring and mentoring their team as required.
- Work closely with their teams and work effectively and efficiently in accordance with contract
- Deliver to the agreed services within the budget allocated to their role and to the standard required
- Develop relationships with the onsite team and collaborate with other stakeholders to execute their role
- Follow the Company's QHSE procedures and ensure teams are working within correct QHSE guidelines
- Bring to the attention of the line manager any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that pose danger or risks to health and safety
- Ensure staff complaints are dealt with promptly and appropriately, escalating as necessary
- Resolve any operational issues and escalates to appropriate persons as required
- Act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees properly and adhering to company policy
- Supervise, encourage and support their teams, ensuring company standards are met. Directing their teams through their daily routines and interact with customers ensuring they have an exceptional experience
- Conduct meaningful briefings with their team providing line management and direction to fulfil their areas goals & objectives
- Follow Cleaning schedule for cleaning duties allocated to you
- Be flexible with duties and hours to suit the needs of the business

You will work closely with the Facilities Manager and support with the below where required
- Implementation of controls and measures to ensure all service levels are achieved across all areas
- Ensure all local client guidelines regarding operation, health and safety and other business areas are followed by Team members always
- Management of absence for the service ensuring return to work interviews are being completed, absence levels are tracked, and the absence management process is being followed
- Ensure that contractual operational hours are achieved across all areas of responsibility always
- Ensure specified lines of communication are followed, with attention to escalation and problem reporting
- Ensure effective methods of managing holiday bookings, ensuring all entitlement is booked by all staff, and operational cover is maintained
- Responsible for ensuring there are adequate staffing levels across the department in-line with contract specification and demand
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by individuals, teams and self & provide and organise information for action
- Ensure that all colleagues are trained in accordance with company requirements
- Communicate in an engaging way and motivating messages are conveyed across all teams.
- Effectively resources the team in line with business requirements
- Manage performance management for their team, ensuring there are mireviews completed
- Ensure that engagement action plans are brought to & kept alive across the entire team, creating a positive environment that contributes to making Mitie a great place to work
- Utilise the internal HR systems, people support services to support them in their roles
- Coach & develop their teams to be the best they can be
- Bring to life the Mitie values daily ensuring they & their teams demonstrate the exceptional everyday
- Undertake additional duties as required to fulfil requirements needed by the contract

- Previous supervisory and cleaning experience
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and to a schedule
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to service excellence
- Willingness to support continuous improvement in service delivery
