The role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our brand new flagship building in our new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, right next to the historic Temple Meads train station. The Campus is the catalyst for further development within the Temple Quarter regeneration area – one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects and a historic moment for the city.
The University of Campus Division has part-time opportunities for enthusiastic and motivated people to work in a number of busy and active cleaning roles. You will be required to work as part of a team and also on your own to deliver the high standards required by the University.
We are looking for a passionate and highly organized person to join our team and help us provide the best possible Cleaning Service for the University of Bristol buildings. The role is critical in ensuring the required cleaning standards are adhered to. Therefore, knowledge and experience in supervising a cleaning service are essential, as is the need for flexibility to meet the business's ever-changing needs.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will provide direct supervision and organisation of a team of cleaners, arrange cover for absences, facilitate the exigencies of the service, and maintain acceptable standards of cleanliness. Ensuring that all staff in the team are properly instructed and trained in the use of equipment and techniques required to provide a clean and safe environment. Completing regular quality control checks as directed by the line managers and implementing remedial action where necessary.

You should apply if
- You have previous cleaning experience
- You have experience in supervising a cleaning service
- You must demonstrate confidence in leading a team
- You have to be confident using computers and IT systems and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
- You have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to deal with and prioritise a range of ongoing tasks at the same time and to be able to cope under pressure.
- You have an understanding of the operation of cleaning machinery
- You have excellent communication skills
- You are a self-motivated and proactive person
- You have the ability to work as part of a team
- You are a self-motivated and proactive team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines

- Shift pattern: Saturday and Sunday 09:00 - 18:00

- Salary: £26,093 - £28,778 per annum pro rata
