Aircraft Cleaning Team Leader - Stansted Airport

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual to join our team at London Stansted Airport, ensuring the highest levels of cleaning standards are consistently delivered. As a Team Leader, you will work within the night operation, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring all aircraft cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
- Night Shift: 22:00-06:00
- Shift Pattern: 5 Nights On, 3 Nights Off
- Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence Essential
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the cleaning operation.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with Company and Airline procedures, policies, and safety standards.
- Support the on-time delivery of all nightly aircraft cleaning services to meet operational schedules and customer expectations.
- Lead by example and maintain a professional and impartial approach when supervising team members.
- Conduct nightly briefings and allocate duties to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor cleaning quality standards and provide guidance and support to team members where required.
- Restock cleaning vehicles, supplies, and equipment ready for operational use.
- Clean aircraft interiors, including the removal of waste, vacuuming carpets, sanitising galleys, and wiping down equipment and surfaces.
- Carry out exterior aircraft cleaning duties when required.
- Operate bowsers and other ground handling equipment in line with training and airport regulations.

Skills & Qualities Required
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly within a fast-paced airport environment.
- Ability to work night shifts, with flexibility to support other shifts if required.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Previous aircraft cleaning experience is essential.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Valid Passport/ID and right to work in the UK.
- Proof of Address and National Insurance Number.
- 5 years' checkable employment history.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security pass.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training and development.
