About the Stay is a boutique hospitality-led residential brand and operator based in London. We manage a curated portfolio of high-quality apartments and homes for both short and long stays, combining the comfort of a residence with the standards of a hotel.
As our portfolio continues to grow, we are expanding our cleaning and housekeeping team and are looking for reliable individuals who take pride in maintaining beautiful living spaces. This role can be offered either as: Full-time employment, or Self-employed / freelance partnership depending on the candidate's preference and experience.
The Role
As a Cleaning & Turnover Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing our properties to the highest hospitality standards between guest stays. Your work plays a crucial role in ensuring that every guest arrives to a spotless, well-prepared home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out property turnover cleaning between guest stays.
- Perform various types of cleaning, including weekly cleaning, maintenance cleaning, deep cleaning, end-of-tenancy cleaning, and spring cleaning.
- Ensure all properties and each room meet hotel-level cleanliness standards.
- Replace and organise linen and towels.
- Restock guest amenities where required.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly.
- Follow the About The Stay cleaning checklist and standards.
- Take completion photos when required for quality control.
- Collect cleaning supplies or linen from the warehouse when needed.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure properties are ready for the next guest.

Requirements:
- Have previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (hospitality experience preferred)
- Are reliable and punctual
- Have strong attention to detail
- Are able to prepare cleaning supplies and equipment for the following day
- Maintain the work environment in a tidy condition
- Conduct property inspections when required
- Take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Are able to travel across London to different properties
- Can work independently and manage time efficiently
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in hotels, serviced apartments, or Airbnb cleaning is highly desirable

Properties are located across London. Our operational base and warehouse are in London.
