You’ll be joining our Civils projects team - We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

M Group is currently looking to recruit a cleansing operative to work with our cleansing team on our SIA Hinkley Point C contract in Bridgwater, Somerset. This role is to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months from June 2026.

M Group head-up the SIA service for NNB site operations. In conjunction with the Core maintenance contract, M Group deliver Civil Engineering schemes which are predominantly enabling works to the main Nuclear Power station construction.

As a member of the cleansing team, you will be part of our SIA Core Service team who are responsible for managing and delivery for the Core service maintenance contract on the HPC site.

What will you be doing?

  • You'll do the litter collection on walking routes on site at HPC and at the park and ride locations.
  • You'll ensure the compound remains in an orderly and tidy condition.
  • Operational involvement in the Winter service delivery.
  • You'll follow safe systems of work and ensure work areas are tidy and secure. Ensuring safety standards are maintained.
  • You'll be required to follow the relevant site Codes of Conduct.
  • To ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across the service.
  • Winter maintenance of the walking and vehicular routes on site at HPC and at the park and ride locations.

What you’ll bring

Requirements

  • You must be able to obtain a HPC pass to be offered a permanent contract of employment.
  • You must be able to provide a 3-year Documented History which should include Education/Work/ or any periods of unemployment these are required for the vetting process in line with HPC protocols.
  • The site is located remotely and a bus journey of 45 minutes each way is required to gain access.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate with the operational team.
  • An understanding of health & safety.
