Platform Property Care has an exciting opportunity for a Clearance and Cleaning Operative to join our busy Voids team. The role is based in Lincolnshire and covers Boston, Skegness, Spalding, King's Lynn and the surrounding areas.
This is a mobile role, so you'll need to live within the locality and be able to travel across the area as required.
What could you be doing?
- You'll play an important part of a busy team returning empty properties (Voids) to our required lettable standard ready for our customers.
- You'll work alongside our multi-skill trades operatives and support them by:
- Conducting a pre-clean of the empty property and removing any hazards, (reporting and escalating as required) and any rubbish or graffiti.
- Removing and taking any previous customer's unwanted items including furniture or appliances to local recycling sites where possible.
- Completing any gardening maintenance works including lawn mowing, strimming, tree and hedge pruning, and removal of any rubbish or garden sheds or similar non-permanent structures.
- Completing gardening tasks as needed to get the garden ready for the customer to move into the attached home.
- Helping the multi-skill trades with any manual handling and some basic trades tasks as needed during the refurbishment.
- Conducting the last clean to a high standard, ready for the customer to move their home.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30.

Your main focus will be supporting our Voids service, with occasional opportunities to assist our Responsive Repairs teams too. It's a role where you can get stuck in, work as part of a great team and see the difference your work makes every day.
We Want Somebody Who Can
- You'll be a team player who likes being hands on, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude.
- You'll need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.
- You will have a passion for detail and the ability to work on your own initiative.
Some Things We Need From You
- Full, current valid driving Licence essential as this is a mobile role.
- Some understanding of construction site safety rules.
- Basic Health & Safety knowledge in a repair's environment with awareness of Risk Assessments.
- Knowledge of Environmental cleaning and working with chemicals.
- Basic garden maintenance knowledge would be desirable, but training of equipment is provided if required.
- Team skills but can work independently at times too.
- If you have a trailer licence (B&E) please highlight this on your application as this would be advantageous.
- As you will be working in customers' homes a DBS check is needed.
