Job Overview
We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic, motivated people who will provide clerical duties. The post will be based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Marine Drive, Rhyl.
The successful candidates will have a good standard of education, good communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidates should also have keyboard skills.
A good telephone manner and communication skills are essential. The ability to speak Welsh would be beneficial but is not essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Main Duties of the Job
- Undertake clerical and some word processing duties as directed by the team.
- Assist with the booking / rearranging of appointments as directed by the team.
- Deal with enquiries either on the telephone or face to face from health professionals, colleagues, and the public, under the guidance of the administrative team.
- File reports / letters or relevant information within individual case notes following relevant protocols and in an accurate and timely manner.
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and distribute accordingly.

- Educated in English to GCSE standard or NVQ L2 Administration or Demonstratable Experience

- Previous clerical/administrative experience

- Experience of working in the NHS
Skills
Essential criteria
- Basic keyboard skills
- Able to use electronic information systems
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision

- Previous use of oracle or similar system.
- Working knowledge of the WPAS (patient administration system)
