The Role
As part of the Business Support Team, you will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the multidisciplinary teams within Specialist Children's Services, including CAMHS, Community Paediatrics and the Neurodevelopmental Pathway.
Your primary focus will be supporting the North CAMHS Service, ensuring the delivery of an efficient, responsive and high-quality administrative service that supports both colleagues and patients.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a or a NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- This is a full-time permanent post working 36 hours per week
- This post is based within the main reception area of the North CAMHS Service - Woodside Health and Care Centre
- You will work Monday to Friday with the following pattern:
- Monday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
- Tuesday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
- Wednesday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
- Thursday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
- Friday: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- You will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service, supporting a multidisciplinary team by managing telephone calls, emails, patient appointments, EMIS and clinician diaries.
- You will act as a single point of access for referrals and enquiries, ensuring they are handled efficiently and professionally. Working both independently and as part of an established Business Support Team, you will support the wider administrative functions of Specialist Children's Services as required.
- You will be responsible for welcoming patients, families and visitors, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining effective communication with members of the public and healthcare professionals. You will manage your workload effectively, prioritising competing demands and adapting to interruptions while ensuring deadlines and service standards are met.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role, ideally within a healthcare or public sector environment.
- Experience managing appointments, diaries and electronic patient record systems, such as EMIS, is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance within an NHS environment is desirable.
