Main Duties
- Manage personnel administration for all individuals within the assigned HR Section, including maintaining records, updating JPA/computer systems, and ensuring personnel documentation is current and compliant.
- Process routine HR activities and enquiries, including pay and allowances queries, general applications, promotions (LAC to SAC), ID cards, temporary duty, family circumstance changes, absences, travel claims, and other personnel administration matters.
- Coordinate postings, attachments, deployments and terminations, ensuring all relevant check sheets, paperwork, welfare requirements and preparation activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Support operational readiness by preparing personnel for deployments, PPA/EAW roles, maintaining Operational Stress Management records, and ensuring compliance with current deployment and training regulations.
- Manage documentation, correspondence and records, including preparing routine internal and external correspondence, extracting management information, maintaining personnel files, and ensuring all paperwork is accurately filed and retained.
- Provide administrative support to the wider JSAU team, including booking travel, managing Spec Cat forms, covering other HR Clerks' duties when required, ensuring allowances are correctly actioned, and undertaking any additional duties necessary for the efficient running of JSAU.

What we are looking for
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a high standard of literacy and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, with the confidence to utilise IT systems to manage data, records, and administrative processes efficiently.
- Experienced in working with multiple business systems and databases, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use specialist MOD and organisational applications.
- Professional, detail-oriented, and quality-focused, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high standards are maintained across all administrative activities.
- Proactive and self-motivated, taking ownership of responsibilities, using initiative to identify solutions, and contributing positively to team and organisational objectives.
- Trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information, maintaining discretion, integrity, and compliance with data protection and information security requirements at all times
