About This Role
Clerk to Governors
Corsham Primary School – Pound Pill and Broadwood
Salary: E6-E8 £26,847 - £27,709 FTE
Actual Salary: £2902- £2995 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Part-time
Working Hours:
4 hours a week, 52 weeks a year to be worked around Local Governance Committee Meetings – an evening meeting held once per term for approx. 3 hours – in person at either Corsham Primary School site preferred, hybrid considered for the correct candidate. Additional hours by negotiation as required. We’re happy to talk flexible working options in regards to all our roles.
Working Pattern:
To be worked flexibly around LGC Committee meetings and wider Trust commitments – evening working will be required.

Job Summary
The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in school governance and a commitment to keeping up to date with current educational developments, legislation and guidance affecting schools. They will provide an independent, professional and reliable clerking service, ensuring that governance arrangements across Pickwick Academy Trust are well supported and effective. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines and adapt flexibly to the needs of the Trust. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be confident working with people at all levels and maintain a positive and professional approach when handling confidential information. Knowledge of governance procedures, educational legislation and guidance would be desirable, although a willingness to develop this knowledge will also be welcomed.

Our School
Corsham Primary School is located in the picturesque Wiltshire market town of Corsham, near Bath, and is arranged over two sites located at either side of the town. Pound Pill site offers 14 classes and the Broadwood site houses 10 classes, both supporting children from Reception to Year 6.
