Dodford First School
Part-time | Scale 4 | £1,400.35 per annum
Dodford First School is looking for a highly organised, reliable and efficient administrator to join us as Clerk to Governors, providing professional support to our Governing Body.
This is an important role at the heart of the school’s governance. The successful candidate will help ensure that meetings run smoothly, accurate records are maintained and governors receive the administrative and procedural support they need to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
About The Role
The post covers 10 meetings per year, with three hours allocated to each meeting, including associated administration time. An additional hour per week is provided for other governor-related administration.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and circulating meeting agendas and supporting papers
- Attending Governing Body meetings and taking accurate minutes
- Producing and distributing minutes promptly following meetings
- Maintaining appropriate governance records and documentation
- Providing administrative support to the Governing Body
- Supporting governors with procedural and legislative requirements
- Helping to ensure that governance arrangements and actions are followed up effectively
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good ICT skills
- The ability to take clear and accurate minutes
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently, manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach
